Bev Isaacs is the director of SmartWorx Training. She is a Wits graduate, and taught at Wits for over six years. After doing her honours at Wits, Bev became a Corporate Trainer in the field of communication where she taught numerous soft skills.

She then went to London, where she taught English as a Foreign Language, presentation skills and English for Academic Purposes at The London School of Economics and University of the Arts (previously The London Institute). There, Bev and her colleagues were instrumental in starting up the Language departments, and this is when she got involved in assessment and standards, and went to study further at Thames Valley University.

After returning to South Africa, Bev joined Wits University as an English teacher. There she taught IELTS (International English Language Testing System), ESL (English as a Second Language), EFL (English as a Foreign Language), assisted with implementing standards, developed course criteria and assisted new teachers. Thereafter Bev opened her own English school and now runs a company training both English and soft skills.

Bev has an honours degree in Dramatic Arts from Wits University, an LTCL from Trinity College, London, and is also an IELTS and IGCE examiner for The British Council. Bev now examines for The British Council, teaches IELTS, ABET, English as a second language, Communication Skills, Business English, Academic English and facilitates skills development.

All of our facilitators and teachers have considerable experience in the corporate, training and language fields and they aim to make the learning experience one that is both positive and beneficial.
